- About the shelters

- Shelters are places where people can take refuge during emergency situations in the mountains.
Depending on the circumstances, supervisors may stay in the shelters. Facilities could vary from each shelter.

- Guidance

- You are not allowed to make a reservation at the box office on the day. It is for the safety of other people and fluid use of shelters.
- You must check the entrance/closure hours of the National Parks by referring to the "trekking time regulation" before using the shelters.
- - You cannot go into the mountain after closing time.
Reservation
- From the first day of the month (for reservations from 16th of the month to the end of the month)
- From the 15th of the month (for reservations from the first day of the next month to the 15th)
※If the launch date(1st and 15th) is holiday, it will be postponed to the nearest weekday.
※If the end of the month falls on a holiday, the reservation window will be extended to the end of the holiday.
Wait-list System (for Awaiters)
If the reservation is changed or canceled, reservations on the waitlist will automatically be bumped up.
The waitlist is automatically canceled when the original reservationist pays.
Registration
When visiting, you have to register with the office to confirm the shelter reservation.
Payment
After confirming the reservation, you have to pay at the appointed shelter on the day of visiting.

- Reservation is conducted 2 times a month(1st and 15th). It is only available for booking for the next 15 days.
* Reservation available from the first day of the month (for the 16th of the month to the end of the month).

* If the launch date(1st and 15th) is holiday, it will be postponed to the nearest weekday.
* If the end of the month is holiday, the reservation window will be extended to the end of the holiday. - Reservation is for maximum 4 people, including yourself. Reservation at the box office on the day or telephone booking is not allowed.

- For registration, you and your companions need to provide an ID card or passport for identification.
- You should take note of the closing time of registration and trekking time regulation when planning the route.
- Registration is not for sale, and it cannot be ceded or transferred to make a sound trekking culture.
- Wait-list System (for Awaiters)

- When you are on the waiting list, you only have priority for the extra reservation tickets (not for the waiting line at the entrance).
- The waiters who are given the extra ticket will get an email for the final confirmation.
- Waiting list only exists when there are more people who want to make a reservation. The capacity of waiting list is up to 10% of the shelter's capacity(people).
- If you are on a waiting list, you cannot change the schedule because it is not confirmed yet. Changing/Adding reservation information is only available after your reservation is confirmed.
- The waiting list is automatically canceled when the original reservationist pays.
- Payment

- There is a special weather report near the local mountain.
- National Parks are unavailable because of unexpected disasters. (includes all of the related reservations)
- Trekking is not allowed because of unexpected disasters.
※ If there is any special weather report near the mountain, all reservations related with shelters will be all canceled by local offices.
- Cancellation/Change

- You can check or change the schedule of reservation on the official website of Korea National Park.
- When you change the schedule, you cannot add more members, but can remove members. It is also impossible to change the date.
- If you cancel yourself from the reservation, other members are canceled too.
- Cautions

- Don't use cooking ware or cook with fire outside of the kitchen. (There is a kitchen in shelters)
- Don't make any trouble with others by getting drunk.

- Reservation is open twice a month(1st and 15th), at 10:00am., and stay open till 15:00 pm of the day if the facility is not fully booked.
e. g.
Reservations for facility usage are available from the 1st day of each month for dates between the 16th and the last day of the month.
In case of facility usage for dates between the 1st and the 15th of a month, reservation is open on 16th of the former month.
※ If the launch date(1st, 5th) is holiday, it will be postponed to the nearest weekday.
※ If the end of the month is the day before holiday(including saturday), the reservation window is extended to the end of the holiday.

- Those holding the waiting list ticket have priority for extra tickets left from reservation changes or cancellation.

- The capacity of waiting list is up to 10%(round off to the nearest whole number) of the shelter's capacity(people).

- If there are any extra tickets left, people on the waiting list will have the priority for the tickets in turn.
- ※ Waiting lists are expired on 2 days before the appointed date at 24:00. If there are any extra tickets left (for reservation upto 10:00am on the appointed date), they can be booked on the website on a first-come, first-served basis.
- ※ The waiters who are allocated the extra ticket will get an email. But you should check your reservation on the website in case you don't get the email.
- If there are any extra tickets left, people on the waiting list will have the priority for the tickets in turn.

- One can only be on a maximun of 3 wait-lists.
The wait-list must be of different shelters.
